Spring has always been both a refreshing and hectic part of the year for me. The extra sunlight and warmer weather have me carving out more time for longer work days, projects around the home, exercise, and cleaner eating. In addition to all that, Andrew and I have been considering moving to a different neighborhood, which can come with a lot of risk and meticulous planning. I've felt like in the past few weeks my to-do list has been a big wave rolling up all around me; but I have to remember that it's all a delicate balance, and to be grateful for the restful escapes that can be found in the in-between

Last weekend Andy and I drove to Palm Springs where we lounged at the Ace Hotel and then stayed overnight with friends who recently moved to the area. One major highlight from the trip was when the guys went for a long hike while I stayed in from the desert heat to read

I'm excited to bring back the white duvet and linen pillows for the bed. There's nothing like crisp white bedding for spring and summer.

While in Palm Springs we took the aerial tramway up to San Jacinto for some sightseeing where we admired the contrast of snowy mountain caps and desert flowers in full bloom.

Taking it upon ourselves to indulge in some delicious cocktails on a Friday evening after a long and tiring work week.
• Chloe––our little muppet.

Breaking away from the workday with an evening walk along the Venice Beach canals

• And just because I miss it so much, here's a photo from last spring. For my 28th birthday, Andy took me to Los Olivos for a weekend away. We stayed at this farmhouse Airbnb, went wine tasting, and discovered a quiet, rocky beach––so different than what we are used to in LA.
