wine country getaway

One of the many benefits of living in Los Angeles is having so many green space getaways nearby. I haven't been very intentional with getting out of the city lately due to the busyness of life, but when Andy suggested we drive to wine country for my birthday weekend, I was all for it! A three hour drive up the coast led us to the adorable farm cottage that we booked through Airbnb. We were greeted by multiple horses, chickens, and three super cute farm dogs––all which added incredible amounts of charm to our weekend. There was wine tasting in Los Olivos, an impromptu visit to a lavender farm, and a windy side trip to the beautiful Jalama Beach. The best part of our stay though was waking up super early on Sunday morning to crisp, cold air and fog. We cozied up with hot coffee and books on the front porch of our cottage for a couple of hours until we could spot the blue sky. It was a great time for us to pause and just enjoy our time together in such beautiful and intricate nature we rarely get to embrace.
