breakfast in bed

Sleeping in and waking up to a fresh breakfast in bed is pretty hard to beat for a Sunday morning. Kinfolk in hand, the coffee brewing, my favorite record playing, and the sunshine beaming through our window made for the most refreshing bit of my week. I was partly excited because some of my newest home goods came in handy, but I also really loved how they looked when sitting together. I have become obsessed with anything marble recently so once I spotted this White Marble Lazy Susan at World Market, I fell in love. The marble next to the wooden pieces like my Olivewood Bowl from Crate and Barrel and the Pattern Cutting Board from Richwood Creations made for such a pretty combo. My napkins from Gray Market (also used at Thanksgiving) added the softest touch of color on top of my white comforter. That's a sign I need the matching pillowcases! The morning tapped into all my senses, and I'd like to try to have breakfast in bed more often. Maybe I'll even get crazy and try it during the middle of the week.
