christmas garland

As you'd probably guess, I absolutely love the idea of decorating for the holidays. In my past apartments I only took the time to set up some twinkle lights and a small tree; but with this year being the first as a married couple and in our loft, I wanted to go all out. I picked up some fresh garland from Downtown LA's Flower District (mentioned previously here) which we managed to securely twist around our beams with only two magical pieces of twine each. I wanted our bedroom to feel like Christmas without the extra clutter, and the greenery did just that. The scent of the pine needles is my favorite part. It makes me feel extra nostalgic for the East Coast, but still serves our home with a simple and beautiful approach to the Christmas season.
